Gosh-where do I start? 5 stars for everything. I’d give 6 stars if I could. We have stayed with Kelly twice now-once in the Carriage house and once in the Asian Suite. In the beginning, our dates changed somewhat and Kelly worked with me on it. Throughout both visits she has been a most gracious host and very responsive to anything we needed. We loved both units. There is privacy if you want it and community if you want that. All units have access to a beautiful courtyard with fire pit. I sat out there many mornings with my husband and I liked unwinding there at night. The units themselves were beautifully decorated and peaceful feeling and well kept. The kitchens were well equipped. Parking is on the street but we rarely had a problem finding a space. Soulard is a fascinating neighborhood with a lot of history (it’s the oldest residential neighborhood in St. Louis) and great architecture. Soulard Residence is within walking distance of several restaurants and the famous Soulard Farmer’s Market. It’s a quick drive to Forest Park(zoo, art museum, history museum), the arch and the baseball stadium. If you want to go to the county, the Residence is close to highway 44 and 40. When we told Kelly we wanted to see a game, they advised us to take one of the shuttle buses from a local bar. So easy . . . . We visit St. Louis frequently and will definitely stay there again. It has become a second home.
